About Us

We aim to foster German heritage, language, culture and tradition within the framework of Canadian Society. Our society is multicultural and we welcome members of any nationality.

History

In December 1991, a group of people, on invitation from the Saskatchewan German Council, got together to determine if enough interest existed to form a society at a later date. The first officers were subsequently elected on March 17, 1992. We are a non-profit society registered with the Saskatchewan Corporation Act.

Who We Are

As of fall 2017, we currently have 33 registered members and welcome new members at any time. We are multicultural and welcome members of any nationality. The aim of our society is to foster German heritage, language, culture and tradition within the framework of Canadian Society. We are always looking for new ideas!

Our membership fee is $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family. We meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month (excluding July and August) for a meeting, a family potluck supper and to socialize. For the time and location of our monthly meetings, visit our contact page. We look forward to meeting you!

Oktoberfest is our big annual event held at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds. Get a group of family and friends together and come out for an evening of fun, authentic German food and fellowship. Your company could also do something different and make this event your staff Christmas Party. Visit our events page for more Oktoberfest details!
